bippity boppity pesto!

Pesto is a wonderful ingredient to liven up any dish. From plain pasta to skinless chicken breasts, pesto is where it's at. However, pesto takes some effort to make. Here is a unique way to store just the right amount of pesto for everyday use.

Ingredients
2 cups basil leaves
4 fresh garlic cloves
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
salt & pepper to taste

What You'll Need
cutting board and knife
food processor
saran wrap
ice cube tray (yeah that's right)

Directions
Mince garlic. Add basil and minced garlic to food processor. Pulse several times. Next, add olive oil and pulse again. Finally, add cheese, salt & pepper to taste and pulse until blended.

Lay saran wrap over ice tray. Gently pack pesto into cube spaces, ensuring none overlap. When you are finished, place in freezer.

Whenever you crave a pesto enriched meal, simply pop one of the pesto cubes from the tray and place into your dish.

Voila! You still have 11 cubes of fresh pesto in perfect, individual amounts for future dishes.
¡Buen provecho!
